APPOINTMENTS: Pre-admission / Symptomatic patients should be referred by their healthcare practitioner and present at the COVID testing facility with their ID and a completed request form.
Patients requiring COVID-19 testing for pre-admission, are encouraged to contact the Pathcare branch at the Hospital of their admission. Click on the following link to download and complete a request form. (Download form)
PAYMENTS: Patients using medical aid: If your medical aid covers COVID -19 testing, we will submit the claim on your behalf. Please Note: You are required to establish if testing is covered by your medical scheme.
RESULTS: Results will be available within 48 hours and will be forwarded to you via sms. Please wait for your doctor to contact you.
APPOINTMENTS: An appointment for travel purposes should be made at least 5 days prior to your flight. The time at which your sample must be collected should be calculated based on your arrival date and time at your final destination to ensure that your result will be valid upon arrival. Please confirm these details with your travel agent, the consulate or available details on the relevant countries’ websites. Results generally are available 24 – 48 hours following sample collection depending on where the sample is referred from.
Travellers are required to present at a COVID-19 testing facility with the completed Travel COVID form and passport. Referral from a health practitioner is not required. (Download form)

PAYMENTS: R850 is payable on the day of your appointment via debit/credit card or EFT. Should your employer be the guarantor for the payment, you will need to present with an official COVID-19 Traveller referral form with your employers corporate account details. Your employer can contact email@example.com to request this official referral form.
RESULTS: Results will be forwarded via email within 48 hours or a hard copy can be collected from any PathCare branch.
APPOINTMENTS: CORPORATE CLIENTS (Where your employer is the guarantor for the test) are required to present with a completed, official company request form, for corporate account payment. Should your company not have the corporate request form or account with Pathcare, please ask your employer to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, contact your private healthcare practitioner for referral and then payment will be required at the Pathcare branch.
PAYMENTS: Your company will be billed for the testing, provided we received the official company referral form with their corporate code as the referring doctor/company. No payment required from you at the depot. Please Note: WCA referrals are either required to make payment upfront or via company corporate account. Pathcare is unable to assist with WCA claims.
RESULTS: Results will be available within 48 hours and will be forwarded to you via SMS as well as a copy of the result sent to your employer (company representative).
